Seeing hearts. Miranda Kerr broker her silence on the birth of her first child with husband, Evan Spiegel, in a sweet Instagram post on Friday, May 25.
The Australian model, 35, spelled out the baby boy’s name — Hart — with wooden blocks and revealed in the caption that he was born on May 8. Hart joins 7-year-old brother Flynn, who is Kerr’s son from her previous marriage to Orlando Bloom.
“Thank you so much for all of your warm wishes,” wrote Kerr. “Evan, Flynn and I have been in baby bliss for the last 17 days with our new arrival, baby Hart. We feel so very blessed.”
Us Weekly reported on May 9 that Kerr and the Snapchat cofounder, 27, had welcomed their first child together. The couple will celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 27.
Kerr told Us in December that her pregnancy had not been all smooth sailing. “I have been getting hormonal headaches, which I never got with Flynn,” she revealed. “My doctor said with the second pregnancy, your hormones kind of kick in a little stronger because they’re like, ‘Oh, yeah. I know what’s happening. I know what to do.’ So that’s probably why.”
The KORA organics creator has not yet publicly shared any details about Hart’s delivery, but hopefully it was easier than Flynn’s. Kerr — who skipped the epidural — was in labor for 27-hours with Flynn and he weighed a whopping 10 pounds.
“I actually thought I was going to die at one point and left my body. I felt as if I was looking down on myself — the pain was so intense,” she told Conan O’ Brien in 2011. “Then he came out and we met, and it was the best thing.”
