Chris Pratt has a reel funny story about fishing with his 5-year-old son Jack.
“I had this rule with my old man and I have it with my son, which is when you’re fishing you can swear. It’s just the guys, go ahead and let loose,” Pratt, 38, revealed during a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show. The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom actor then recalled an incident where he and the little boy were fishing for bass near the farm he owns in Washington.
“He catches a fish and I’m trying to get him to take a picture with the fish before we let it go and it flops out of his hands,” Pratt said. “The fin pokes him in the hand. . . and he starts to cry.” A sobbing Jack then alerted his dad that he was about to swear. He started by calling the bass “stupid.” Pratt reminded him of the swearing rule and encouraged him to get it all out. And that’s when Jack blurted, “That stupid bass is a f—king p-ssy!”
Cracked Pratt: “It was a little hard not to laugh at that.”
The Avengers: Infinity War star and Anna Faris were married for eight years before announcing their separation in August 2017. They both filed for divorce in December that year, but remain committed to peacefully coparenting Jack.
Faris, 41, opened up about the breakup earlier in May, and clarified a comment her ex had made about how “divorce sucks.”
“It feels more dramatic than it is,” the Overboard actress explained to Marie Claire. “Chris and I have a great friendship and Jack is so happy and so loved.”
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom open in theaters on June 22.
