Now that Meghan Markle is the newly-minted Duchess of Sussex, it’s been a series of sartorial firsts as she makes her debut as a member of the royal family. Just days after her wedding, Meghan and Prince Harry appeared at the Prince of Wales 70th Birthday Celebration, with Meghan wearing a sand-toned bespoke Goat frock. Now, for their second official appearance, the Duchess stuck with her ladylike neutral color palette for an exquisite and feminine Carolina Herrera look — and we have all the details to liven up your Monday.
Markle stepped up her game for the annual ceremony in honor of Queen Elizabeth’s birthday and donned a soft blush-hued off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera frock (similar to styles featured in their Pre-Spring 2018 Collection) with exquisite tailoring and button details. Adding feminine flair to the look was a matching-toned Philip Treacy flat-brimmed fascinator and a white Carolina Herrera clutch.
Markle knows what works for her — namely pared down feminine classics with contemporary cuts — and she is continuing that penchant in her dressing choices as a Duchess.
And while Markle is as stylish as ever, it would seem that she is taking a page out of the playbook of her sister-in-law with her blowout. While Markle’s hair tends to be sleeker, she opted for a voluminous and curly blowout with a deep side-part a la Middleton, for the affair. Her beauty look, though, featured Markle classics: glowing bronzed skin, glossy lips and fluttery lashes.
Let the countdown begin to her next official appearance — our summer style choices will most certainly be informed by the Duchess of Sussex.
