Team USA's unofficial motto? Work hard, play hard!
That's why late Sunday, America's superstar swimmers — including Ryan Lochte and Tyler Clary — headed over to London hotspot China White to celebrate their Olympic successes together.
An eyewitness tells Us Weekly the athletes danced and drank the night away as a group; Lochte had invited family and friends, while Clary took over DJ duties.
Not surprisingly, a line of female admirers waited to see if they could party alongside hunky gold medal winner Lochte, though he was kept away from the crowd in a special VIP area, the witness shares.
"I had a lot of fun!" Clary told Us about his time manning the DJ booth. "It was definitely the most crowded club I've ever played in, so that was cool. It was everyone's first night out and they came to support me which was very special. My teammates could have been anywhere in London last night and they decided to come out and listen to me do my thing. It was awesome."
Clary — as well as fellow swimmers Nathan Adrian and Natalie Coughlin — have definite opinions about who had the best moves on the dancefloor that night.
"Elizabeth Beisel [was the best dancer]," Clary said. "I saw her on the ground and was like, Wow! That's the intensity I want to see out of everyone. Worst dancer? Anyone who wasn't dancing."
According to Adrian, "Matt Grevers was tearing it up. He's a really good dancer. Missy Franklin wasn't there, or she would have taken the cake!" the freestyle champ shared, adding sheepishly that "The worst dancer definitely could have been me!"
"Alyssa Anderson was definitely the best of the night," Coughlin chimed in. As for the rest of her teammates' skills? "There were a lot of bad dancers last night," she joked. "I'm not going to throw anyone under the bus!"
Their teammate Michael Phelps was noticeably absent from the festivities; Phelps, who recently began dating model Megan Rossee, nabbed his 22nd Olympic medal following his first place finish as part of the U.S.' 4 x 100m medley relay team Saturday.
