After more than thirty years of marriage, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are going their separate ways.
On Monday, Entertainment Tonight broke the news that the couple, who wed in 1982, had split; a rep for DeVito confirms their separation to Us Weekly.
Perlman and DeVito have three children together: 29-year-old Lucy, 27-year-old Grace and 25-year-old Jacob.
Once, when asked about his marriage to the Cheers alum, DeVito, 67, said he tried not to give too much thought to what made them tick.
“Love. I mean, really. [But] you know what? Who knows,” the New Jersey native shared. “The secret to success is to try to never figure that out.”
The actor, 67, currently stars on FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia; over the last few years, Perlman, 64, has guest-starred on Hot in Cleveland, The Sessions and Wilfred.
