The way to William Tell's heart is through his stomach!
At Susan G. Komen's Designs for the Cure Gala in L.A. October 13, host Lauren Conrad, 26, opened up to Us Weekly about her romantic but "mellow" nights in with the University of Southern California law student and former Something Corporate musician, 32.
"I'm working a lot and he's in law school. We're usually exhausted at the end of the day," Conrad said. "We're not very exciting!"
To keep her man satiated, Conrad whips up stuffed peppers in the kitchen. "I actually just posted the recipe on my website," the Paper Crown designer told Us. "You just slice the bell peppers in half and mix in tomatoes and onions, garlic, bulgur wheat and usually a turkey sausage or something. It's really easy and you make a bunch at a time!"
If Tell has a favorite dish, Conrad isn't aware. "I think he's just happy to get home-cooked meals!" she laughed. The Hills alum also helped Tell get ready for the event. "Since it was a pink tie gala, I had to go buy a pink tie for my boyfriend," the California native told Us. "It was the first tie I ever bought!"
Later that evening, Conrad was honored with the Pink Diamond Award for her contributions to Breast Cancer Awareness and fundraising; she also dressed eight breast cancer survivors in her Paper Crown fashion line.
"I just think it was a really nice opportunity," the former MTV reality star told Us. "I think anything you can do to be a part of a cause like this is great, so we were really excited to do it!"
