Va-va-va-voom, Ellen!
Ellen DeGeneres went all out to celebrate Halloween on her daytime talk show for its Oct. 31 episode, greeting her audience dressed as none other than Modern Family star Sofia Vergara. Putting an extra-ample (read: padded!) backside on display in a version of the green Zuhair Murad gown Vergara wore to the 2012 Emmys, DeGeneres did her best to impersonate the actress.
“Muchas Gracias everybody, Muchas Gracias, Hola! My name is Sofia Vergara. I am easy breezy beautiful CoverGirl from Colombia,” DeGeneres, 54, as Vergara, 40, said on Wednesday’s holiday-themed show. “Happy Halloween. As you can see, I put my pumpkins out.”
During the Halloween episode, DeGeneres also poked fun at fellow CoverGirl spokeswoman’s many side gigs — and her buzzed-about accent.
“I like being Sofia Vergara, but it’s hard being this beautiful,” DeGeneres reasoned. “I’m so busy with CoverGirl and Diet Pepsi and Burger King and my clothing line [and] the award winning Modern Family. I get so much work with this fake accent. People think it’s real.”
Later, the real Vergara took the stage to surprise DeGeneres, and couldn’t believe the authenticity of her costume.
“Your ass looks huge, Ellen!” joked Vergara, who suffered a memorable wardrobe malfunction at the Emmys when the zipper on her designer dress broke minutes before her cast won an award, leaving her curvy backside exposed.
Replied the talk show host as Vergara stood before her: “I have to say, it is like looking in a mirror. I feel sexy!”
