First look at Killing Kennedy! Us Weekly has an exclusive sneak peek at the poster art for the upcoming National Geographic Channel movie about the assassination of American President John F. Kennedy.
One poster, created by pop culture artist Sam Spratt, shows Rob Lowe portraying the late president, looking somber with his head tilted down. In the background, in black and white, stands Kennedy’s assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, played by Will Rothhaar, holding a gun.
Killing Kennedy, a docudrama, chronicles the final years of Kennedy’s life and is based on the best-selling book by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard.
In a second poster, Ginnifer Goodwin stands in the foreground as First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. She has tears in her eyes and holds red roses. Looking somber in the background is Michelle Trachtenberg, portraying Oswald’s wife Marina. Both posters show shredded American flags in the background.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in May, Trachtenberg said, “I am so excited for the challenge to portray Marina Oswald, and to do my first role speaking only in Russian. I’m the only actor playing someone who is still alive, so I want to stay as true to her as possible.” (Marina, a Russian-born Dallas resident, is now 72 and has two sons with second husband Kenneth Porter, whom she married in 1965.)
Killing Kennedy premiere Nov. 10 at 8:00 p.m. on the National Geographic Channel.
