Khloe Kardashian's sweatshirt says it all. On Monday, Dec. 16, three days after she filed for divorce from estranged husband Lamar Odom, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star resurfaced for the first time with a very telling message written across her chest. Sporting a loose ponytail and bright pink lipstick, Kardashian, 29, looked pretty but somber as she left a studio in Burbank, Calif. She was dressed casually — uncharacteristically so — in black Ugg boots, distressed blue jeans, and a hooded black sweatshirt with the words "Nothing Was the Same" printed in bold block lettering on its front.
The sweatshirt appeared to be from singer Drake's OVO (October's Very Own) clothing line, in promotion of his third studio album, Nothing Was the Same. But it's also an apt description of the state of affairs in the reality star's life at the moment.
As previously reported, Kardashian filed to end her four-year marriage to basketball player Odom on Friday, Dec. 13. According to court documents, she cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split and is asking the judge to remove "Odom" from her legal name.
Married since September 2009, the couple has been estranged for several months because of revelations about Odom's substance abuse problems. "She flip-flopped several times, but she can't imagine having kids with someone who refuses to seek help for his disease," an insider told Us Weekly of Kardashian shortly before the divorce filing.
Odom, for his part, was not surprised by Friday's development. "Lamar expected this," a source close to the 34-year-old NBA player told Us. "He's fine with it. He just wants it over swiftly and smoothly now. He's had time to come to terms with it."
