KATY’S MANICURIST KIMMIE’S MARBLED MASTERPIECE
What You’ll Need
– CoverGirl Outlast Nail Gloss in Black Diamond, $5.50, drugstores
– Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in Sweet Escape, $8.50, beauty supply stores
How-to Instructions
Step 1: File nails into square shapes. Apply base coat. Swipe on two layers of orange lacquer. Let dry for two minutes.
Step 2: Tap polish with a finger; it should feel tacky. Paint on a thick coat of black varnish. Pro tip: Use only three vertical strokes, starting in the center and following up with one on either side.
Step 3: Immediately moisten a cotton swab and twirl it all over the wet polish at desired to create a marbled effect. “The more you roll the Q-tip, the more vivid the orange shade will be,” explains Kyees. Smooth on a high-shine topcoat.
