Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas was taken to the hospital on Monday, June 16, following a car crash in L.A., TMZ reported. Friends say he'll be okay.
According to TMZ, 28-year-old Ballas was driving and turning when a speeding vehicle slammed into the right rear side of his car. The site said that Ballas complained of back pain and whiplash, and was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was prescribed medication.
Candace Cameron Bure, his partner on season 18 of DWTS, confirmed the accident via Twitter, writing, "So glad he's OK — talked to him briefly tonight."
It's been a rough season for Ballas, who was injured last month during DWTS rehearsals. An ABC spokesperson told Us at the time that Ballas' shoulder popped out during a routine, and he had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Ballas and Bure made it to the finals, losing to first-time Mirrorball winner Maks Chmerkovskiy and his Olympian partner Meryl Davis.
