Everything really was awesome at the 87th Academy Awards!
The LEGO Movie might have been snubbed in the Best Animated Feature category at the 2015 Oscars, but the fan-favorite film left its own, inimitable mark on the Sunday, Feb. 22 awards!
Tegan and Sara and The Lonely Island performed an amazing live version of the film’s “Everything Is Awesome” theme (which was nominated for the Best Original Song award but lost out to “Glory” from Selma in the end) and the crowd at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre loved it — especially the Lego Oscar statues.
Will Arnett made an amazing cameo as Batman (whom he voiced in the movie), rocking out with a guitar and wearing Val Kilmer‘s Batman suit from Batman Forever! Questlove also took to the stage as Robin.
But it was Oprah Winfrey whose reaction was completely hilarious! As a Lego cowboy leapt into the audience to present her with a golden statue made entirely of Lego bricks, the talk show queen’s reaction was, well, awesome!

“I loved @Oprah’s face witih my #LEGO Oscar!,” Nathan Sawaya, the Lego sculptor who created the amazing statuettes captioned a snap that he shared via Twitter.
And as Chrissy Teigen spotted in the crowd, and later shared via Instagram, John Travolta also enjoyed getting his hands on one of Sawaya’s Lego Oscars (and tapping his toe to the music!)
