Joni Mitchell is taking it day by day. The singer-songwriter, who was rushed to the hospital late last month, is said be getting better in an update released on her official website on Friday, April 3.
“Joni remains under observation in the hospital and is resting comfortably,” the statement reads. “We are encouraged by her progress and she continues to improve and get stronger each day.”
Mitchell, 71, was found unconscious in her L.A. home on Mar. 31. She regained consciousness during the ambulance ride to a nearby hospital, and was put in intensive care at the time.
The “Big Yellow Taxi” singer has yet to make a public statement herself, but is open to hearing from fans. Her team created a web page to gather Facebook and Twitter well-wishes so that she can read them as she continues to improve.
