This is not how the story was supposed to go! As One Directioners continue to mourn Zayn Malik’s exit from the hit British boy group, fans got another blow on Wednesday, May 6.
Malik’s former bandmate Louis Tomlinson took a jab at his new producer, Naughty Boy, on Twitter, which sparked a series of teen angst-filled tweets.

After Naughty Boy posted a photo with Malik, writing, “Replace this,” Tomlinson, 23, tweeted, “Remember when you were 12 and you used to think those Mac filters for your pictures were cool haha ! Some people still do HA!”
Apparently Mr. Boy — er, Sir Naughty? — didn’t take kindly to the criticism of his over-saturated filter, tweeting, “@Louis_Tomlinson and some people can’t even sing.. but who’s complaining when there’s auto tune eh.”
Tomlinson spit back, “@NaughtyBoyMusic Jesus forgot you were such an in demand producer …. How does it feel to be riding on the back of someone else’s career ?”
But Naughty Boy, 30, was quick to educate Tomlinson on his clients, writing, “@Louis_Tomlinson Yeah how does it feel mate? You’ve been doing that for the last five years… I’ve got Emeli Sande and Sam smith on my CV.”
Considering Tomlinson is a member of the group that has had all four of its albums debut at no. 1 on the Billboard charts, he didn’t seem impressed by Naughty Boy’s artists.
“@NaughtyBoyMusic good for you , well done !! I think we’ve done alright in terms of sales and I’ve happened to write on most. Keep trying !”
@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine ?

Things got particularly dicey when Malik, 22, chimed in, tweeting, “@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine ?”
None of the other One Direction bandmates have chimed in, but somewhere, Harry Styles is crying a little bit. Malik exited the group in late March.
