Having Rod Stewart in the passenger seat for some carpool karaoke is pretty cool. But James Corden got even luckier in his most recent musical Late Late Show bit, when A$AP Rocky snuck into his SUV for some rapping too!
The British show host was cruising around Los Angeles with 70-year-old Stewart, being regaled with tales of the rocker’s past hotel room antics and crazy “drinking and shagging” times.
The pair were happily rocking out to Stewart classics like “The First Cut is the Deepest,” and “In A Broken Dream” when they were suddenly joined by a passenger in the backseat!
“I don’t know if I’ve ever felt as cool as I do at this moment,” a grinning Corden announced, after A$AP Rocky had rapped his way through his track “Everyday,” which samples Stewart’s hit.
After doing his rap, A$AP Rocky disappeared and Corden and Stewart continued chatting (about Stewart’s hair and when he lost his virginity) while karaoking their way through a few other classic hits, including “Maggie May.”
