Amanda Seyfried‘s long, lush locks are no more! The Ted 2 actress, 29, stepped out to take her beloved pup, Finn, for a walk on Wednesday, July 29, in NYC. But she must have made a salon stop along the way, because as she was snapped coming home, she also debuted a fresh new lob haircut!
Despite rocking mid-back tresses for as long as we can remember—all the way back to her Mean Girl days!—Seyfried is now rocking a shoulder-length ‘do, complete with face-framing layers for an extra boost of volume.
As it turns out, the chop came with some very sweet motivation behind it. Seyfried took to Instagram to share a photo of Finn wearing her snipped tresses, with a reveal: Her golden hair was headed to the non-profit Locks of Love (which helps make wigs for sick children in need). “Finn is wearing my #locksforlove,” she wrote.
Making sure to give her hairstylist, Clede Tomoko, a shout-out, Seyfried added a selfie with the hair pro, which she captioned, “New haircut/old friend.”
