It’s all in the past! Becca Tilley took to Twitter to defend her close friend JoJo Fletcher after the premiere episode of Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, which was focused on the season 12 Bachelorette.
The Freeform reality show debuted on Tuesday, October 11, and showed Lauren Bushnell stressing out after producers invited her and her fiancé, Ben Higgins (Fletcher’s ex), to attend the After the Final Rose taping for Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette. Bushnell worried that there was still a spark between Higgins, 28, and Fletcher, 25, and that reuniting would bring up old feelings. The Warsaw, Indiana, native famously told both Bushnell and Fletcher he loved them on season 20 of The Bachelor before proposing to the 26-year-old former flight attendant.
Tilley stood up for her friend on Twitter, explaining that Fletcher has completely moved on with fiancé Jordan Rodgers, her season 12 Bachelorette winner. “Pretty sure JoJo is over Ben. Pretty sure Ben is over JoJo. Pretty sure Lauren & JoJo are friends. And pretty sure producers pushed that,” she tweeted along with an eye-rolling emoji.
Fletcher responded, writing, “@beccatilley5 & I’m pretty sure you’re right Rebecca!”
Bushnell confirmed that it’s all good now between her and Fletcher. When a Twitter user asked if the duo are still friends, she responded, “Yes. Never let a man get in the way of a friendship. Call that man out!” Another viewer asked if the rest of the season was going to be all about Fletcher, and she assured the tweeter, “def not!”
The end of the episode teased Bushnell and Higgins heading to a potentially awkward lunch with Fletcher and Rodgers during their L.A. trip. Tune in to Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? on Freeform Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET to see what happens.
