It’s 5 o’clock somewhere! Supermodel Christie Brinkley invites Us Weekly into her Hamptons home and stirs up a cocktail that’s a margarita, mimosa and Bellini all in one in the “Inside My Kitchen” video above.
“It’s like mixing a classic margarita with different flavors so that you never get tired of it,” the 62-year-old tells Us about her Bellissima margarita mimosa. “Not that you ever could!”
The Bellissima prosecco founder sips her bubbly take on the classic Mexican drink to feel inspired. “Whatever we’re doing, I think everything gets so much more creative when you have a drink,” says the Long Island resident.
The recipe calls for pineapple juice, but the model and author points out you can use a fruit juice of your choice to switch up the seasonality. “Don’t think of this as a summer drink. It’s seasonless!” For example, she suggests pomegranate juice for the holidays.
The mother of daughters Alexa Ray, 30 (with ex Billy Joel) and Sailor, 18, and son Jack, 21 (with ex husband Peter Cook) tells Us from her kitchen, “This is the heart and soul of the house — we rarely leave the kitchen. We don’t like to go too far away from the food.”
