Times are changin’ and her hair is, too! Paris Jackson paid tribute to Prince with her purple hair in a Tuesday, July 12, Instagram.
“side affects to dancing in the purple rain for too long include stained hair 💜☔️,” the 18-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson captioned, remembering the “Kiss” artist who succumed to an opioid overdose. She also displayed her series of eight hand tattoos, including Prince’s love symbol and a lightening bolt in memory of David Bowie, who passed away on January 10, (along with ink not pictured: the word “Bad,” for her father’s hit single, and a Van Halen logo).
Later that evening, the former blonde showed off her bold shade at a Street Drum Corps concert in Cabazon, California. “when your man’s kit matches your hair 😈,” she captioned her Instagram that doubled as a nod to her boyfriend, drummer Michael Snoddy.
On June 14, Jackson explained the story behind all of her body ink, which includes a rendition of her dad’s Dangerous album artwork on her forearm and “Queen of My Heart” in his handwriting across her wrist.
“My scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity.. and depth,” she Instagrammed. “Sure I will always carry my past with me, but I see ink as a way of changing for the better, always improving. they represent strength for me. I look back at my old self and then I look in the mirror, and I see a fighter looking back at me.”
