Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg are taking their love to the big screen — and they hope it’s more Mr. & Mrs. Smith than Gigli! The couple, who wed last October in a lavish Santa Barbara ceremony, costar in the new indie romance, Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong (in theaters and on demand February 12), and Us Weekly has an exclusive first look at a flirty scene from the film.
“To be honest, we were a little hesitant,” Chung, 32, tells Us of working with her husband of nearly four months. “It’s daunting to do a movie together as a couple. But we thought it was so cool to roll the dice, go to Hong Kong and shoot this little movie.”
The film centers on two thirtysomething Americans (played by Chung and Greenberg) who spend one magical night exploring the titular Asian metropolis together — only to part ways and reconnect again one year later.
“The hardest part was to take away our chemistry for the beginning of the movie [when our characters are strangers],” Greenberg, 37, tells Us. “Jamie had the idea to get two separate hotel rooms when we shot, so we didn’t live together during filming, which I didn’t like very much, but Jamie was into it!”
