Mia Thermopolis is smiling somewhere in Genovia right now. Chris Pine, who starred opposite Anne Hathaway in 2004’s The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, teased that he’s game to reprise his role in Princess Diaries 3.
The Wonder Woman actor, 35, briefly touched on the topic during a Q&A session with Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday, January 26.
“Don’t you pray every night for a Princess Diaries 3?” one fan asked via Tumblr.
Pine replied: “Have you been reading my diary???”
The hunky Star Trek Beyond star played Nicholas Devereaux, Princess Mia’s love interest, in the Princess Diaries sequel. The Garry Marshall-directed comedy also starred Julie Andrews (Queen Clarisse Renaldi), Hector Elizondo (Joe) and Heather Matarazzo (Lilly Moscovitz).
Last year, it was rumored that a Princess Diaries 3 was in the works. An insider told Us Weekly, however, that nothing was “in development at the moment.”
