Two years ago today, Nov. 30, Paul Walker died at age 40 in a tragic car crash in California. Now, on the second anniversary of his death, fans and friends alike are paying tribute to the late actor on social media.
Walker’s Fast and Furious costar Tyrese Gibson remembered the star in a post on Instagram, sharing an old photo of them together. “It’s still not easy…..2 years ago today…We lost our brother,” he captioned the pic.
“Today I’m just gonna lay low and process…..Clarity through Prayers and perspective is what I always seek and pray for….With a heavy heart I post this,” he wrote. “Please continue to pray for the Walker family and his real friends who was with him every single day….They’re some of the best and strongest people I know……I know you’re in heaven smiling and rooting for us all…..#RIH (Rest in heaven).”
Vin Diesel also paid tribute. “No matter where you are in this universe…” he wrote on Facebook on Monday. “You will always be, my brother.”
Walker, Gibson, 36, and Diesel, 48, costarred in 2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious, 2011’s Fast Five, 2013’s Fast & Furious 6, and 2015’s Furious 7, which was filming when the actor died in 2013.
Not long after the fiery crash that took Walker’s life and the life of his friend Roger Rodas, Gibson and Diesel visited the accident site.
“My heart is hurting so bad . . . no one can make me believe this is real,” Gibson tweeted at the time. “Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don’t understand.”
