Here comes the bride! Sofia Vergara, who will marry Magic Mike’s Joe Manganiello at The Breakers hotel in Palm Beach Nov. 22, is putting in major face time to ensure she looks picture-perfect for the big day. Her NYC dermatologist, Dendy Engelman, tells Us about the Modern Family star’s four-week plan.
FOUR WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING
Her first order of business: hopping on a flight out of L.A. to NYC to see Engelman, who zapped areas of redness and hyperpigmentation on Vergara’s cheeks, forehead, and chest using Oxylight and Pulsed Dye Laser. Three $300 15-minute sessions of intense pulsed light laser treatments did the trick!
TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING
To achieve a taut wedding dress-ready body, the actress, 43, applied a dollop of Nerium’s $110 Firming Body Contour Cream to her arms and décolletage twice a day. Two pumps of NuGene’s $300 fine line-fighting, amino acid-packed face serum revved up radiance.
ONE WEEK BEFORE THE WEDDING
Medical aesthetician Edyta Jarosz, who works in Engelman’s office, gave Vergara a $500 hour-long, collagen-boosting Oxylight facial (it combines LEDs, microcurrent stimulation, ultrasonic massage, diamond microdermabrasion, and oxygen infusion).
THE NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING
Calm down any pre-wedding (skin) jitters! “Sofia’s skin is very sensitive,” says Engelman, “so products that combat any redness she may have from wedding day excitement are key the night before.” The derm’s RX: A thin layer of Natura Bisse’s $162 NB Ceutical cream, which contains inflammation–alleviating red algae and chamomile extract.
THE DAY OF THE WEDDING
Before she walks down the aisle, Vergara will rely on the two glow-enhancing companions she always keeps in her bathroom vanity — Vita Liberata’s $43 self-tanning mousse and the $48 Shimmering Body Oil by Moroccanoil.
