Danielle Staub is speaking out for the first time about her newly surfaced sex tape.
"It was stolen," she told TMZ.com Thursday, contradicting Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita's claim that Staub, 47, leaked it herself.
She isn't embarrassed about the footage — which features her naked and frolicking with an unidentified man.
She said she initially tried to prevent Hustler Inc. from selling it.
"Then I just decided, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em," said Staub. "What am I left to do? This isn't something I chose to have released, but it's out there, and there's nothing I can do about it."
She said she even hopes her tape outsells one made by fellow reality star Kendra Wilkinson.
"I haven't seen hers. I haven't seen mine, either, but … if it's going to do anything, I would hope it does better," she said. See more celebrity news.
Is she worried what the other Housewives think?
Said Staub, "I don't care what they say about me!"
