At this point, 2019 seems like an eternity ago, but back then, the original Knives Out was a hit in theaters before writer and director Rian Johnson brought the next two sequels to Netflix. Now, the third film, Wake Up Dead Man, has arrived on Netflix with former James Bond actor Daniel Craig reprising his […]

Peacock has a very strong lineup of newly arrived movies heading into the middle of December, including a few you may not have seen in theaters. Some of the best titles available aren’t even Christmas-related, which is a nice option to have this holiday season. The Watch With Us team has narrowed the selection down […]

It’s good to see that Netflix isn’t just spinning its wheels in December and waiting for Stranger Things to return near the end of the month. Instead, this week has been brightened by two Netflix originals and a show on loan from AMC. That made it very easy for the Watch With Us team to […]

In 1990, director Chris Columbus and screenwriter John Hughes had one of the biggest hits of their lives with the holiday comedy Home Alone. This is the film that made Macaulay Culkin a star for his turn as an eight-year-old kid, Kevin McCallister. Audiences loved the way he tormented two thieves, Harry (Joe Pesci) and […]

Nearly two decades after it went off the air, The West Wing has a new streaming home on Netflix. To paraphrase LL Cool J, don’t call it a comeback. The West Wing has been available to stream before. Putting it on Netflix is just a chance to remind everyone how great this show was. Now […]

There are a lot of new Netflix movies in December that fall just shy of the 90 percent ranking on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s a high bar to cross, even for the No. 1 streamer in the world. Fortunately, it’s our job to help cut down on the clutter and pick out the films that have […]

It’s a quiet month for dramas on Amazon Prime Video, even though a handful of big releases like Sinners will be making their debut on the streamer later in December. Since those new arrivals aren’t dramas, we’re going with a 2024 biopic that had major movie distributors running away from it out of fear of […]

Even if Netflix wasn’t in the process of buying Warner Bros., there sure are a lot of HBO Max originals on the streamer in December. The latest addition is The Staircase, a true crime miniseries that debuted on HBO Max in 2022. Now, it’s primed for a much larger audience on Netflix. To help you […]

Stephen King‘s Castle Rock sounds like a fun town to visit, but you probably wouldn’t want to live in a place where literal and figurative monsters abound. Between 2018 and 2019, Hulu produced Castle Rock, an original series that gave King’s books the shared universe treatment they’ve rarely received in live-action. Later this month, Castle […]

The weeks are winding down in 2025, but Netflix has enough movies to keep us busy until the new year. That constant influx of new films to watch has been the open secret of Netflix’s success for a long time. It also made it easy for the Watch With Us team to select Netflix’s three […]

Sometimes, good movies get lost at the box office regardless of the talent behind them. One of the films that exemplifies that this year is Caught Stealing, a comedic crime thriller from director Darren Aronofsky that features Elvis star Austin Butler in the lead. Unfortunately, Elvis has left the building, and audiences were caught napping […]

If you get a little lost in HBO Max‘s lineup of movies in December, it’s understandable. There are a lot of options to choose from, even if you’re looking for great movies that you just didn’t love enough to buy on Blu-ray when you had the chance. Regardless, the Watch With Us team has chosen […]

10 years ago, it’s likely that you missed Danny Collins during its brief stay in theaters. But Netflix is giving movie lovers a chance to rediscover it later this month. Al Pacino stars as the title character, Danny Collins, who is a world-famous singer. The film is loosely inspired by the true story of Steve […]

For almost as long as there have been films, there have been Christmas movies to go with them. But it wasn’t until television came along that watching Christmas movies became a true holiday tradition. That’s true even in the streaming age. To celebrate the holiday season, the Watch With Us team has brought together this […]

In 2022, writer and director Damien Chazelle used all of the goodwill and clout he earned from La La Land, Whiplash and other movies to make Babylon. Chazelle put his heart and soul into this movie, and it still failed at the box office. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth watching. This weekend, Babylon […]

So many of the great Christmas movies came out in the 20th century that the best modern holiday flicks are comparatively underrepresented in roundups. It doesn’t help when there are so many generic Christmas movies on cable and streaming that they all blur together. That’s why Watch With Us is taking the Christmas spirit into […]

The “Huludays” have arrived on Hulu, and that means you’ll be seeing a lot of Christmas flicks on the streamer between now and December 25. Understandably, a few Christmas movies have already placed highly among the top 15 movies and TV shows on Hulu. For this week, the Watch With Us team is limiting the […]

It’s not all about Stranger Things in the first week of December on Netflix. The streamer already has a fresh line of hit shows on demand to feed your bingeing needs. What’s interesting is that the only Netflix original this week that’s had breakout success is a scandalous documentary miniseries. That’s just one of Watch […]

A fresh batch of movies has arrived at Peacock, and it’s going to make selecting films to watch for the weekend a little more difficult than usual. It’s a good problem to have, especially since so many of its streaming rivals are buried in Christmas movies. The Watch With Us team has narrowed the new […]

HBO Max subscribers are in for some good times in December as the streamer closes out 2025 on a very strong note. On the first of the month, Mad Men made its HBO Max debut, and this is one of the most bingeable TV dramas that you’ll ever see. It was the easiest choice imaginable […]

It’s a good thing that December has the biggest holidays of the year, because you’re going to need the extra time to watch all of the TV shows and movies heading your way. Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max and the rest of the streamers are closing out the year on a high note. No one […]
