The ’80s were a great decade for film, and many of its movies remain popular four decades later. In many ways, the ’80s paved the way for Hollywood’s turn towards blockbusters, but there were still serious films that could become breakout hits. Watch With Us has selected our picks for the best movies of every […]

If the ’80s horror films were about the rise of the slashers, then the ’90s were about the rise of the horror comedies. A handful of iconic ’80s slashers had sequels in the 1990s, but the films that stood out in this era weren’t sequels. They were the movies that took bigger chances. To celebrate […]

Like all of its streaming brethren, Netflix doesn’t get to hold on to all of its movies forever. When Halloween gives way to the first day of November, dozens of titles will be departing Netflix for some other streamer. To help you make your streaming plans in the week you have left, Watch With Us […]

Last year, Netflix scored a breakout hit with Nobody Wants This, a romantic comedy/drama starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. Bell plays relationship podcaster Joanne Williams, while Brody portrays Noah Roklov, a rabbi who is coming out of a breakup. Their relationship struck such a powerful chord with audiences that Netflix put season 2 into […]

This weekend, the Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen, gets his own music biopic with Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere. The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White plays Springsteen at a pivotal point in the musician’s career, and this film is already generating awards buzz. In honor of Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere‘s theatrical debut, Watch With Us has […]

The Whitest Kids U’Know cofounder Zach Cregger made the leap from comedy to horror in 2022 with the release of Barbarian. Barbarian‘s unexpected success allowed Cregger a lot of freedom with his next film, Weapons, which became an even bigger hit this year. Now, Weapons has made its streaming debut on HBO Max, and it’s […]

Netflix is always adding new movies, but there are rarely as many acclaimed titles as it added in October. Three of this month’s picks for Watch With Us‘ five best Netflix movies are originals that were either created for the streamer or purchased for it. When those five films are ranked by Rotten Tomatoes, one […]

Hulu subscribers are very consistent about the shows they watch, according to the top 15 on the streamer. High Potential, Only Murders in the Building and more have practically parked on that list and refused to move. The only things that change constantly are the movies that appear on the list, including the recent remake […]

From now until Halloween, Peacock and many of its rival streamers will have wall-to-wall horror movies. To keep everyone from having a horror overdose, only one of Watch With Us‘ picks this week is a scary movie. The remaining two films in our choices for the three great Peacock movies to binge-watch this weekend share […]

Netflix subscribers should send a “thank you” to AMC this week for lending out two of the network’s shows. Without that pair of dramas on loan from AMC, this would have been a very uncharacteristically quiet week for the No. 1 streamer in the world. That’s why those AMC series are our top two picks […]

On October 23, Netflix’s hit romantic comedy/drama Nobody Wants This is coming back for its second season. Last year, Kristen Bell and Adam Brody charmed fans as an unlikely couple facing a challenging new relationship. It’s great that Netflix rushed season into production with 10 new episodes, but what are you going to watch when […]

It’s an unusual month on HBO Max when three out of the four movies that hit 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes were released by A24. But since Sorry, Baby won’t be hitting HBO Max until October 30, we’ll have to deny A24 the clean sweep. Instead, Watch With Us has added a classic Tim Burton […]

October isn’t a busy month on Amazon Prime Video, at least when it comes to original series. However, Prime Video is currently hosting the first season of From, a horror series that launched in 2022. Although From was originally an Epix original series, it’s currently produced for MGM+ with a fourth season in production. Watch […]

As we get further away we get from the ’80s, it seems like adapting the decade’s action TV shows is increasingly a bad idea. There just aren’t as many fans of The Fall Guy or Knight Rider as there used to be. But this month, The A-Team is bucking that trend. The 2010 reboot of […]

Amazon Prime Video is having a very good year for movies, especially when it comes to the films that Amazon doesn’t own itself. Later this month, Warner Bros. is sending its surprise sleeper hit Companion to Prime Video, and it’s one of our favorites. The Watch With Us team had to include that film in […]

Netflix knows that the cure for the mid-month movie blues is adding even more movies to its lineup. At the same time other streamers are lacking new content, Netflix has the recently released remake/sequel, I Know What You Did Last Summer. It also has a surprising new No. 1 on top of the most-popular movies […]

Amazon Prime Video is rarely lacking in good movies to watch. But in October, Prime Video’s lineup of films is spectacular. Oscar-winning films stand side-by-side with critically acclaimed flicks that go back through decades of cinema. There were so many good choices that the Watch With Us team had trouble narrowing it down to the […]

Hulu‘s lineup of shows tends to be dominated by network programming, FX comedies and dramas, in addition to streaming originals. Sometimes, a surprising show slips through the cracks and turns out to be something special. Obituary is a dark comedy produced in Ireland that lives up to that description. Even with its recent season 2 […]

This weekend, Netflix just added director Gary Fleder’s underrated 2001 thriller, Don’t Say a Word. Michael Douglas stars in the film as a child psychiatrist named Nathan Conrad, who is blackmailed by thieves to retrieve intel from one of his latest patients. Critics savaged Don’t Say a Word and left it with a 23 percent […]

Ethan Hawke gave one of the most sinister performances of his career in 2021’s The Black Phone, and he’s reprising his role as The Grabber later this week in Black Phone 2. Hawke made his big-screen debut as a child actor 40 years ago in debut in Explorers, and he’s gone on to become one […]

On Friday, October 17, Black Phone 2 will hit theaters and reunite the cast of The Black Phone for another supernaturally charged horror movie. But you don’t have to go out to a theater for spooks and jump scares when some great films are streaming at home. Watch With Us has selected the three movies […]
