Dan Wakeford, a globally recognized and award-winning editor, joined Us Weekly as Editor-in-Chief in early March 2024. With a wealth of expertise garnered at the helm of Entertainment Weekly and PEOPLE magazine, Wakeford has a deep track record of transforming world-class celebrity entertainment brands. Wakeford is deeply connected in the entertainment industry and has facilitated unprecedented access to the world’s leading figures, including British royalty, American presidents, and A-list movie stars. Dan has also served as Editor-in-Chief of Life & Style and In Touch Weekly; and before immigrating from the United Kingdom, in 2002, he helped establish the global genre of celebrity weeklies with heat! magazine. Dan spends his free time living in Bellport, Long Island, cooking and pretending to watch intelligent documentaries when he’s really watching the Real Housewives with his husband Lucas, dog Misty and two cats Mikey and Gus.
