Danielle Campoamor is an award-winning Puerto Rican journalist who joined Us Weekly in January 2025 as a Senior Politics & Weekend Editor, having previously worked for the outlet as a part-time writer and editor. In her role, Danielle oversees all weekend entertainment, sports, politics, crime, style, health, parenting and celebrity news coverage, while simultaneously steering Us‘ politics coverage and vertical. Before joining Us, Danielle was a digital reporter at NBC News and TODAY.com by way of Bustle, where she previously served as a Senior Identity Editor and reproductive rights columnist. Danielle has over a decade of digital news and editorial experience, including on-camera and on-the-ground reporting in Texas, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Ukraine and Israel. As a freelancer, she has written and edited for a variety of publications and news organizations including Marie Claire, CNN, MSNBC, Vogue, Vanity Fair, The New York Times, Washington Post, TIME Magazine, The Cut, Cosmo, Insider, InStyle, The Daily Beast, Mother Jones, Teen Vogue and more. Born and raised in Eagle River, Alaska, Danielle recently moved to small town South Dakota by way of Brooklyn, New York, with her husband, three feral children and one unruly cat.
