When Digital Writer Julia Emmanuele isn’t covering all things entertainment for Us Weekly, she can be found marathoning true crime documentaries, reading into the early hours of the morning or cooking her way through her expansive cookbook collection. An unabashed TV fanatic, Julia has seen every single episode of Bob’s Burgers, Letterkenny, RuPaul’s Drag Race and New Girl and will happily tell you all about her British television obsession, Taskmaster, when given the chance.

A recent DC transplant, she loves seeing her favorite bands at clubs around the city and is on a mission to find the best dumplings the DMV area has to offer. Julia has a love for 2000s-era celebrity gossip and once had her eyebrows done by a celebrity makeup artist.

Julia previously worked as an Entertainment News Writer for Bustle, where she wrote about everything from Game of Thrones and the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the Bachelor and its many spinoffs. Prior to that, she was at People.com, covering all things Kardashian-Jenner. Julia was an instrumental part of developing the outlet’s Snapchat Discover Channel and building a daily audience of readers on the platform. Julia earned a B.A. in English from the Catholic University of America, graduating in 2013. In 2021, she took her lifelong passion for food to the next level by earning a Culinary Arts diploma from the Institute of Culinary Education.
