There have been a ton of great things about moving into my own apartment — I’ve enjoyed putting on my interior design hat and curating each room to match a different aspect of my personality. I’m slowly but surely making my new space feel more like a home, and I have to keep reminding myself […]

Retinol may be the gold standard anti-aging skincare ingredient, but it’s also ridiculously finicky. It should only be applied at night because it can make your skin extra sensitive to the sun . . . and it’s only more difficult to incorporate it into your routine in the summer; it’s super potent and shouldn’t be […]

Taylor Swift just closed out the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour in London. During the 131st show  — which I was lucky enough to attend . . . pinch me! — she brought out Florence Welch as a surprise guest and debuted the music video for “I Can Do It Wish a Broken […]

As someone who had a chronically neutral wardrobe for years, I know how easy it is to just stick to a black, white and tan color scheme — especially in the fall. The thing is, life becomes so much more vibrant once you start to introduce color into your closet, and fall is the perfect […]

I’m a summer girl through and through, but there’s one thing that gets me excited for fall: The thought of wrapping myself in a cozy blanket-esque sweater. Not all sweaters are created equal. If they don’t feel like I’m snug inside of the most comfortable blanket ever, I don’t want it! Luckily, this year cozy […]

If you asked my friends to describe my skincare routine in one word, they’d probably say “excessive.” Listen, I get it — is it completely necessary to have an eight-step regimen for both morning and night? Probably not, but my skin is glowing! I am so consistent with my skincare that it pains me to […]

School is almost back in session and while I’m not mentally prepared to hit the books, I am very much looking forward to wearing bookworm chic fits. I’m talking plaid skirts, sweater vests, loafers and the works. There’s something so fashionable about these fall-appropriate fashion pieces…and honestly, wearing them makes me feel smarter. Ace every […]

One daily ritual that I’ve continued since the beginning pandemic is my daily hot girl walk. A little bit of fresh air and lightly moving my body does wonders for my mental health. Over the past four years I’ve walked so much that I’ve run through plenty of sneakers, and while many of them have […]

As the weather cools down you may be tempted to bust out your boots, but I implore you to explore other footwear options this fall. There are so many trending styles that are more versatile than your average boot yet just as (if not more stylish). This year’s hottest shoe trends will add a little […]

The much-anticipated season four of Emily in Paris just dropped, and along with Emily’s adorable fashion sense, I haven’t been able to stop admiring the makeup looks on the show. In preparation for the premiere, I spoke with the show’s head makeup artist, Aurélie Payen, to learn about the inspiration behind the looks and the […]

Sabrina Carpenter isn’t just taking over pop music, she’s also making her mark as a beauty entrepreneur. The singer has a budding fragrance line with not one, not two, but three sweet scents. While none of them feature any espresso notes, there’s a perfume that will surely satisfy every type of sweet tooth. The three […]

I have my facial skincare routine down pat, and it’s pretty extensive. I use over five products — morning and night — religiously to keep my skin clear, plump and radiant. That said, my regimen below the neck isn’t as lengthy . . . actually it’s nearly nonexistent. Considering my extensive skincare routine, it’s pretty […]

You probably already have a trusty pair of jeans and a few simple T-shirts, but do you own any silk slip skirts? Silk slip skirts are an underrated basic wardrobe staple that everyone needs in their closet. Why? Well, they pair well with any kind of top and shoes, can be dressed up or down […]

It doesn’t matter how often you go to the gym — once you hit your mid-40s, your body starts to break down muscle at a faster rate, making it harder to maintain your gym gains. This fact of biology only becomes more rapid as you age, but you don’t have to lose faith! With thoughtful […]

If I’ve learned one thing over my career as a beauty writer, it’s that vitamin C is the key to a luminous complexion. You can find the ingredient in an array of formulations, from face moisturizers and eye creams to potent serums — and I’ve tried my fair share of all three. I’d say I’ve […]

I travel so often that you’d probably think I’d have my packing routine down to a T. While I can expertly Tetris all of my clothes and shoes into a small suitcase, I’ve never been able to figure out how to downsize my makeup and skincare routine. I simply must pack it all! That said, […]

I really hate to admit it, but summer is coming to an end (say it ain’t so!). The only thing that is stopping my seasonal depression from coming on hard and fast is this year’s fall fashion trends. While I may be sad to kiss summer goodbye, there’s no denying I’ll be stepping out in […]

Don’t let anyone fool you — we still have over a month of summer left. The seasons don’t officially change until September 22, which means there’s plenty of time to soak up the sun by the pool or at the beach. Name a better reason to purchase a new bathing suit — we sure can’t! […]

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed watching the athletes compete in their events at the Olympics, but I’ve enjoyed watching Snoop Dogg a tiny bit more. The rapper has become the unofficial mascot of Team USA while in Paris, and I’ve been living for his cameos. Along with wearing full Team USA gear, Snoop has been […]

Finding your signature scent is an inherently personal experience. It’s incredibly important to find a fragrance that resonates with you and makes you feel more confident. That said, it doesn’t hurt when others love the way you smell, too. Is there a better compliment than “You smell amazing”? At Us, we don’t think so. That’s why […]
