Bill Belichick is a former NFL coach known for being the former head coach of the New England Patriots. He began his coaching career in 1975 with the Baltimore Colts as a special assistant and transitioned through various roles with the Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos and New York Giants. As the Giants’ defensive coordinator, he helped the team win two Super Bowls. In 2000, he became the head coach of the Patriots, leading them to six Super Bowl championships, making him one of the most successful coaches in NFL History.

Throughout his career, Belichick has earned several accolades, including three AP NFL Coach of the Year awards (2003, 2007 and 2010) and a Sports Emmy in 2021 for his analysis on NFL Network. He was also named one of the NFL’s 100 All-Time Coaches and holds multiple records, such as the most playoff wins by a coach.

In December 2024, he was named head football coach at the University of North Carolina.

Belichick was married to childhood sweetheart Debby Clarke from 1977 to 2006, and they share three children, Amanda (born 1984), Stephen (born 1987) and Brian (born 1992). He was in a long-term relationship with TV presenter Linda Holliday from 2007 to 2023. In 2021, he started dating Jordon Hudson, who is 48 years his junior.
