Brandon Armstrong

Brandon Armstrong is an American professional dancer best known for competing on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Born June 5, 1994, in California, Armstrong moved to Utah as a child and began dancing at age 12. He trained in ballroom and other dance styles with the Ballas family, including Mark Ballas, Corky Ballas and Shirley Ballas.

Armstrong joined Dancing With the Stars as a troupe member during season 24 in 2017 before being promoted to professional dancer in season 27. He made his debut with singer Tinashe and has since been partnered with Mary Wilson, Jeannie Mai, Kenya Moore, Jordin Sparks, Lele Pons, Chandler Kinney and Lauren Jauregui. Armstrong also served as a mentor on Dancing With the Stars: Juniors.

Armstrong reached his highest finish on the show during season 33 with Kinney, when the pair finished in third place. They also became the first Black couple in Dancing With the Stars history to advance to the finale. Armstrong has continued to appear on the show and in related productions including the Dancing With the Stars: Live! tour.

Armstrong tied the knot with Brylee Ivers in 2022.
