Britt Stewart

Britt Stewart is a professional dancer, choreographer and educator best known as a pro on Dancing With the Stars and for her work in Disney’s High School Musical films. Stewart spent her childhood in Aurora, Colorado, and began dancing at age 3 at Artistic Fusion Dance Academy. She trained in multiple styles before attending the Denver School of the Arts, where she graduated in 2007. She was later accepted into the modern and ballet program at Loyola Marymount University and moved to Los Angeles, where she continued pursuing dance professionally.

Stewart began working as a dancer at 15 and became a principal dancer in all three High School Musical movies. She also appeared in Fame (2009), No Strings Attached (2011), Teen Beach Movie (2013) and the Oscar-winning film La La Land (2016). Throughout her career, she toured and performed with artists including Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, Rihanna and Selena Gomez. She also spent three years as a core dancer for Katy Perry, including performances during Perry’s Prismatic World Tour and at the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show.

She joined Dancing With the Stars as a troupe member in 2016 before becoming the show’s first Black female professional dancer in 2020. She has partnered with celebrities including Johnny Weir, Martin Kove, Daniel Durant, Adrian Peterson, Eric Roberts and Baron Davis.

Stewart began dating actor Daniel Durant after they were partnered on Dancing With the Stars season 31 in 2022. They announced their engagement in December 2023 and wed in August 2025.
