Ed Kelce

Ed Kelce is best known as the father of NFL stars Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce. Ed was born and raised in Ohio. He grew up in a working-class family and did not attend college, instead opting to enter the workforce directly after high school.

Ed began his career in the steel industry, where he worked as a sales representative. He later held a longtime position with a manufacturer that provided steel to the automotive industry. While not a public figure himself, he gained media attention as his sons rose to prominence in the NFL — Jason, a former center for the Philadelphia Eagles, and Travis, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. His appearances in NFL documentaries, interviews and family-related coverage helped raise his public profile, particularly as Travis and Jason colaunched the “New Heights” podcast in 2022. Ed was featured in the Prime Video documentary Kelce (2023), which focused on his son Jason’s career and family life.

Ed married Donna Kelce in the late ‘70s, and the two welcomed Jason in 1987 and Travis in 1989 before divorcing. He later entered a relationship with Maureen Maguire. Maguire passed away on August 1, 2025.
