Grant Ellis
About
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Grant Ellis played basketball for the Iona University Gaels in New York. He transferred to Albertus Magnus College in Connecticut. After graduating, he went overseas and played as a professional athlete before his career ended due to an injury. Ellis moved to Houston, Texas, and began to work as a day trader.
Bachelor Nation met Ellis when he was a contestant on Jenn Tran’s season 21 of The Bachelorette in July 2024. After Tran eliminated Ellis, he was announced as The Bachelor’s season 29 leading man in August 2024. He became the franchise’s second Black lead after Matt James, who’s season aired in 2021. Ellis’ season premieres in January 2025. Grant got engaged to Juliana Pasquarosa in the March 2025 season finale. Less than three months later, they broke up.
