Karen Huger

Karen Huger is best known for being an original cast member on The Real Housewives of the Potomac.

Huger was born Karen Wooden and raised in Virginia on her family’s farm, which they have owned for more than a century. She attended the University of Virginia and began her career as an entrepreneur.

In 2016, Huger was announced as one of the original six main cast members of RHOP. Huger, whose nickname is the Grande Dame of Potomac, has remained on the series since. While appearing on the Bravo franchise, she also starred in the 2021 spinoff special Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion.

Huger was previously married to Edmund E. Carter. The exes share son Brandon Carter. In 1996, she tied the knot with husband Raymond Huger. The couple welcomed daughter Rayvin the following year.
