Layla Taylor

Layla Taylor is an influencer and reality TV star best known for her appearance on Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Taylor was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona, and moved to Utah after graduating high school, converting to Mormonism.

Taylor gained public attention after being invited to join MomTok, a collective of Mormon influencers, in 2022. She later made her TV debut on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which became the most popular unscripted premiere in Hulu’s history. Her candid discussions about faith, family and personal challenges quickly made her one of the standout personalities of the series. She returned as a principal cast member for its second season in 2025.

Taylor met ex-husband Clayton Wessel on Mutual, a dating app for Mormons. The couple tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their first child, son Oliver, in 2021. They welcomed their second son, Maxwell, the following year before their split.
