Maya Henry

Maya Henry is a social media influencer and actress known for her fashion and travel content. She earned a bachelor’s of fine arts in film studies from Ryerson University in Toronto, specializing in screenwriting and film editing. In May 2024, she published her first book, Looking Forward and began studying writing at New York University.

In September 2017, Henry made her acting debut in For Nonna Anna, which was screened at both the Toronto International Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival.

Henry began dating One Direction singer Liam Payne in September 2019. They got engaged in August 2020, as confirmed by Payne on Good Morning America. However, in June 2021, Payne announced their split on the podcast “The Diary of a CEO.” The couple briefly reunited in March 2022 but ended their relationship for good in May 2022.

After their split, Henry wrote a fictional book, titled Looking Forward, that she said was inspired by true events. Henry later shared in an interview that she “definitely chose to forgive a lot of things” in her relationship with Payne. She filed a cease and desist against Payne, alleging that he was obsessively contacting her, days before his October 2024 death. The singer died at age 31 after falling from his hotel balcony in Argentina.
