Megan Moroney

Megan Moroney is a country singer-songwriter. Moroney was raised in Douglasville, Georgia, where she grew up in a musical household and learned to play piano as a child. She picked up guitar in high school after an injury ended her cheerleading career. She attended the University of Georgia, graduating in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

After college, Moroney moved to Nashville to pursue music full time. She released her debut single “Wonder” in 2021, followed by her EP Pistol Made of Roses in 2022. That same year, “Tennessee Orange” went viral on social media and streaming platforms, marking her major breakthrough and leading to a record deal. The song’s success positioned her as a rising voice in the country scene.

Moroney released her debut album, Lucky, in 2023, followed by Am I Okay? in 2024, both of which showcased her strong songwriting. She has earned major award nominations from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association, including winning New Artist of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards, and she has found success with songs such as “I’m Not Pretty” and “No Caller ID.”

Moroney has been romantically linked to Morgan Wallen, though she confirmed they were not in a formal relationship.
