Sheinelle Jones is a television journalist and cohost of the third hour of Today on NBC. Jones is the daughter of U.S. District Court Judge C. Darnell Jones II. She graduated from Wichita Heights High School in Kansas before earning a degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

Jones began her career at WICS-TV in Springfield, Illinois, before moving to KOKI-TV in Tulsa and then WTXF-TV in Philadelphia, where she spent over nine years as a news anchor. In 2014, she joined NBC News as part of Weekend Today, later becoming cohost of the third hour of Today.

In addition to her work on Today, Jones has hosted Wild Child on NBC. She has also contributed to The Today Parenting Team and produced the digital series Stories We Tell: The Fertility Secret.

Jones married Uche Ojeh in 2007. The couple has three children: son Kayin (born in 2009) and twins Clara and Uche Jr. (born in 2012). Her husband died in May 2025 of brain cancer.

In December 2025, Jones was announced as Jenna Bush Hager‘s cohost on the fourth hour of the Today show, nearly one year after Hoda Kotb‘s exit.
