Stephanie March

Stephanie March is an actress best known for playing Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Cabot on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. March attended Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas, before going on to study at Northwestern University where she was active in theater productions before graduating in 1996 with a degree in theater.

March began her acting career on stage, appearing in productions in Chicago and later on Broadway. She made her television debut with a guest role on Early Edition in 1997. Her breakout role came in 2000, when she joined the cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, going on to become a recurring character and fan favorite.

In addition to her long-running role on SVU, March has appeared in Conviction, 30 Rock, Grey’s Anatomy, Rescue Me and Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter. Her film credits include Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), The Invention of Lying (2009), Why Stop Now (2012) and A House on Fire (2021).

March married chef Bobby Flay in 2005. The couple divorced in 2015 after 10 years of marriage. In 2017, she tied the knot with tech investor Dan Benton.
