
Tatyana Ali
Tatyana Ali is an actress and singer best known for her role as Ashley Banks on the hit sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Ali began performing at age 6 with appearances on Sesame Street and later appeared on Star Search, winning multiple times. She attended Harvard University, graduating in 2002 with a degree in African-American Studies and Government.
Ali rose to fame in 1990 when she was cast opposite Will Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, remaining on the show until its finale in 1996. She launched a music career in the late ’90s, releasing her debut album, Kiss the Sky, in 1998, which featured the hit single “Daydreamin’.” She later appeared in films like The Brothers (2001) and Glory Road (2006) and on TV shows including Love That Girl! and The Young and the Restless. Some of her later projects include The Bobby Brown Story, Bel-Air and Abbott Elementary.
Ali married Stanford professor Vaughn Rasberry in July 2016 after meeting in 2014. They share two sons, born in 2016 and 2019.
