Bristol Palin showed off her growing baby bump on Thursday, Nov. 26, as she posed with her son, Tripp, for a Thanksgiving photograph in front of their stunning, white, Christmas tree.
The former Dancing With the Stars contestant, who is currently eight months pregnant with her second child, smiled at the camera while cuddling her six-year-old, whose dad is her ex-fiance Levi Johnston.
"I’m thankful for my babies!" Palin wrote on her website as she wished followers a happy Thanksgiving. Back in June, Palin's pregnancy announcement received a lot of criticism when she admitted her pregnancy "has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you.”
But she swiftly defended the pregnancy after receiving backlash. “This pregnancy was actually planned,” she wrote in response to her critics. "Everyone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself. Things didn’t go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on. I do not regret this baby," she insisted.
As it turned out, mom Sarah Palin, 51, insisted the new baby news wasn't a disappointment at all.
"I can’t wait for about 45 more days and I’m going to have a little baby granddaughter," the former Republican vice presidential candidate said earlier this month. "And I’m happy about it."
When asked what she would say to people who thought the news went against everything Sarah stands for, she had an answer.
"Well, the cool thing about putting your faith in God . . . is he certainly is a God of second chances and third and fourth and fifth chances," Palin replied.
