Happy birthday, Charlotte! Chelsea Clinton's little girl Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, is a year old — and her proud mom shared the cutest photo of the pair of them snuggling up for a bedtime story on the eve of her birthday.
"Last book for Charlotte before bedtime on her first birthday!" an excited Clinton, 35, captioned the snap, which was taken on Friday, Sept. 25. "Marc & I are so grateful every day to be her parents," she added.
Little Charlotte celebrated her birthday the following day at a party in New York City, where she was joined by her proud grandparents Bill and Hillary Clinton, along with a host of little friends, at Apple Seeds play center.
And to mark the momentous moment of her first grandchild's first birthday, happy grandma Hillary shared a campaign video that same day, which featured images her of beloved granddaughter Charlotte, and a message about all of America’s children.

"When I look at my new granddaughter, I think to myself, we're going to do everything we can to make sure she has opportunities in life," she explained. "But what about all the kids?"
“You should not have to be the grandchild of a former president to know that you can make it in America. That will be my mission as president to make sure I do everything I can, every single day, to knock down the barriers, to open up the doors so every child has a chance to live up to his or her's God given potential."
And it’s not just grandma Hilary whose views have been influenced by Charlotte’s birth. Mom Chelsea spoke about how wonderful it is to be a mother to Elle magazine earlier this year. "My whole life is reoriented around my daughter in the most blessed sense," she said of little Charlotte, then 6 months old.
"I now understand — this is something else that Marc and I talk about all the time — all of the enthusiastic, bombastically spectacular, wonderful things people say about their children, because we also feel and think all those things about Charlotte — that she is just the most remarkable little bubbly, perfect, chunky monkey creature ever."
