Blame it on the sleep deprivation. Ike Barinholtz forgot to remove a key accessory when he attended the L.A. premiere for his new movie Blockers on Tuesday, April 3. The Mindy Project alum, who never even announced his wife Erica Hanson was pregnant with their third child, accidentally kept his hospital bracelet on before heading to the event.
“I just had a baby,” the 41-year-old told Entertainment Tonight when asked about the bracelet. “I wear it until it kinda falls off. Like the umbilical cord.”
Barinholtz and Hanson welcomed a girl, his rep tells Us Weekly. They are also parents of daughters Foster, 4, and Payton, 21 months.
“I drank a lot of coffee date, but we have not slept in a few days,” the actor admitted. Of course, mom and dad know what to expect at this point. “This is my third, so there’s no more surprises,” he explained. “There’s only breast milk and poop, that’s all there is.”
Though Barinholtz rarely discusses his kids, when he was asked by Glamour in 2014 what he hopes to teach Foster about dating, the actor replied, “Don’t!”
“She’s not allowed to,” he joked to the magazine. “I’m Jewish, but what any luck she’ll be a nun and take her vows early and never have to worry about it.”
Meanwhile, Barinholtz was recently rocking a hospital bracelet for another reason. In July, he was performing a stunt on the set of The Pact when he fell and fractured vertebrae in his neck.
