Mad Men star Aaron Staton, who plays Ken Cosgrove on the hit AMC series, confirms to UsMagazine.com that he's expecting a baby boy with wife Connie Fletcher.
"We're very excited," Staton, 29, told Us at the Project Natal Xbox360 Launch party in L.A. Sunday.
The couple — who wed in 2006, and announced the pregnancy to pals via e-mail in December 2009 — haven't settled on a name yet for their first child.
"We are pretty sure, but we also thought we were pretty sure a few weeks ago and it changed, so we are sort of waiting until he is here and we have met him to announce it," said Stanton.
They have already prepped a nursery.
"It was mostly her thing," Staton admitted of Fletcher, 27, who appeared on All My Children in 2006. "I did the painting and all the physical labor part of it. It is not too baby-baby. It is a sweet room."
Staton confessed he's a bit anxious about being a first-time father.
"I have been nervous about dropping babies in the past, but have been told that once it's your baby, you are no longer worried about dropping them," he joked. "I am nervous that I have a lot to learn… that I won't pick it up fast enough. I think I am doing OK."
He sees more children in their future. "I feel like, not having had any kids yet, two sounds like a good number," he said.
Staton is also gearing up for the season 4 premiere of Mad Men on July 25.
"This is a world where the president was just assassinated and innocence is lost throughout the country and culture and society. These people are a part of that time and they cant be the same as they were," he hinted. "It is the same show with the same title, the same people… but the tone has changed."
