Brendan Hansen will be swimming for three during the upcoming London Olympics: himself, wife Martha, and their new son or daughter!
"Well the news is out! My wife Martha Hansen and I are expecting! Hope the worlds ready for a lil Hansen runnin around!" the four-time Olympic gold medalist, 30, announced via Twitter on Friday.

Wife Martha, 30 and a sixth grade math teacher, channeled her Olympian husband and spread the baby news in record time. "She ran down the stairs in the morning before I left for workout with a pregnancy test in her hands," Brendan tells Us Weekly. "To this day it is still the fastest I've seen her move that early in the morning!"
Martha's pregnancy comes at the perfect time, especially since this year's games mark Hansen's big return since retiring after 2008's Beijing Olympics — a comeback that his wife encouraged. "She said, 'Look, are you going to regret not trying again, once we're 40 and have kids?' I said yes," Brendan tells Us.
With a baby on the way, the Olympics have taken on a whole different meaning for the 6-foot athlete, who tells Us that he and his wife will find out the sex of the baby post-Games.
"I think knowing I am going to be a dad soon just puts everything in perspective," he tells Us. "Past Olympics, as I prepared, I thought the world revolved around the Games. Now I see a much larger picture. I'll be nervous for both but I wouldn't have it any other way."
"If I can be half the dad my dad was for me than I will be doing just fine!" he adds.
