In less than a week, Aaron Paul will be a married man. But until then, he’s still technically a bachelor, a fact he celebrated with a big bash in Las Vegas over the weekend of May 18. Joined by a group of his closest friends — including fiancee Lauren Parsekian — the Breaking Bad actor, 33, took Sin City by storm with a joint bachelor/bachelorette party at Marquee nightclub.
Paul and his pals started out the festivities at The Beatles LOVE Cirque du Soleil show at the Mirage Hotel & Casino, where a source says the star “was excited” to take in the spectacle. Following the performance, he and his group of about 20 headed over to Marquee’s Library Room, where they proceeded to dance and drink the night away.
Rocking a black bowtie with a gray suit, the Smashed actor appeared to be in great spirits as he partied with his bride-to-be, who stunned in a short, glittery dress and mock veil. The two (engaged since early 2012) stuck close to one another all evening, kissing and dancing and toasting to their new life together.
At one point during the bash, staff at the club presented the duo with his-and-her cakes. Paul had designed the groom’s cake himself to look like the steps in Paris near the Eiffel Tower, where he proposed to Parsekian, co-CEO of Finding Kind Productions, more than a year ago. An inscription on the sweet treat read: “My pretty bird, thank you for loving me.”
As Us Weekly previously reported, the Emmy-winning star and his fiancee will tie the knot on May 26 in Malibu, Calif. Speaking to Us about the couple’s wedding plans last July, Paul said he wanted “a 1920s-themed wedding, Parisian carnival.” His main concern, though, was whether he’d be able to keep it together long enough to say his vows. “I’m going to try not to be a sobbing mess up there,” he admitted.
If he does cry, it will be out of sheer joy. The Utah native told Us he can’t wait until he and Parsekian are officially husband and wife. “I’m looking forward to living with my best friend,” he shared. “We’re going to wait to live together until we’re married…I’m very excited about it. Just hanging out with your buddy, your partner in crime.”
