No delays in this Newsroom! HBO actress Alison Pill married her fiance Joshua Leonard on Sunday, May 24, just four months after they announced their engagement.
"We're married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the Newsroom star, 29, announced via Instagram, alongside a photo with her new husband. "#pillnard."
The bride also shared a group photo from the weekend with her pals from her bachelorette party on Saturday, May 23. "My most bestest folks," the actress wrote, alongside a snap of herself in a sparkly cowgirl hat.
Her proud husband, 39, also documented their wedding weekend with photos of his own. "Getting a marriage license w/ @msalisonpill," he wrote last Thursday, alongside an artistic photo of Pill patiently waiting on a bench before making their bond official.
Leonard followed up with images from their actual reception, along with a close-up snap of Pill's cushion-cut engagement ring, sparkly new wedding band, and his own solid gold band. "We got married, she ate toast," the actor wrote of his wife mid-chew and smiling.
He also posted a picture of his father and Pill's dad bonding over centerpieces. "Dads arranging flowers," the Blair Witch Project alum shared. "Wedding weekend, 2015."
For her big day, Pill wore a vintage style yellow wedding dress featuring dainty and delicate sleeves and a sheer bodice.
Pill, who played aspiring producer Maggie Jordan in Aaron Sorkin's popular series from 2012 to 2014, got engaged to the Togetherness actor this past January. Leonard told Us Weekly at the L.A. premiere of his series that he picked a 1920s vintage-style ring for the special moment, which took place at Joshua Tree National Park in Calif.
According to the couple, the proposal was documented by a close pal and Newsroom alum, Thomas Sadoski, who briefly played Pill's love interest on the show.
"I had been on a rocky mountain top in Joshua Tree," Pill told Us at the same premiere this past January. "And Tommy Sadoski, who is like my older brother, who plays Don [Keefer] on The Newsroom, documented with his camera the entire thing."
When the couple was asked about a wedding date, Leonard laughed it off and replied: "We have no idea. It’s been four days! Give us a break!”
