Amanda Bynes appears to be getting back into a routine of sorts post-rehab. A little less than two months after leaving the Malibu facility where she was seeking treatment for mental health issues, the Hairspray actress, 27, is spending time with her family and making regular trips to the gym.
On Friday, Jan. 24, the former child star was spotted en route to a workout in L.A. Dressed for the sweat session in black capri leggings, a loose-fitting T-shirt, and black sneakers, Bynes was photographed getting dropped off at the gym by her mom, Lynn.
The She's the Man star was reunited with her parents in December after completing several months of inpatient treatment. Back in July, she was placed on a 5150 involuntary hold; doctors later transferred her from the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center to a facility in Malibu. (That 5150 was handed down after Bynes' very erratic public behavior in early 2013, which included bizarre wigs, disturbing tweets, and an alleged bong-throwing incident.)
Following her December release from the facility, her lawyer, Tamar Arminak, told Us Weekly she would continue to get well at home. "Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery," Arminak said in a statement at the time. "Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day."
"She's now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design. She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line," her attorney added. "Despite the fact that Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She's very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared."
